So, I have just finished my second APR - an annual progress review thingy my uni has for each PhD student. It's not a big accomplishment, it just marks the ending of my second year of study. I still have about 1.5 years left until my scholarship ends (which means I also have to finish my degree). [A mentor just told me, that my 'resting bitch face' and social anxiety issue has made many people misunderstood me. It's really nothing new. People have told me that since a hundred years ago. Haha. And I still have not changed. It's getting worse if anything.] Lately, I've also been feeling like I haven't done much for my study, and I felt less productive than I have ever felt before. I feel like I have difficulty in reading comprehension. And my academic English deteriorates so much. I still have to go to Bandung to finish up my fieldwork with some sort of consultation meeting. I have a policy analysis manuscript sitting for a while. I haven't touched...

lapor! hari ini capek tk tinggi! sangat tidak disarankan dalam dua hari berturut-turut wawancara enam orang berturut-turut tanpa jeda, aplgi dg topik yang sama. hahaha. *ya ampun baru sadar di draft ada tulisan ini, tertanggal 12 Agustus 2011, baiklah akan sy selesaikan* tiga hari itu, saya 'berdinas' ke semarang. nerusin proyek penelitian yg sempat terhenti lama karena belum juga selesai mempublish report terjemahan ke bhs indonesia dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya. *riset dg tropmed, fk. sendirian, saya pun mendatangi sebuah kantor penyedia layanan pengurangan dampak buruk napza di kota itu. sy pernah mendatangi tmpt itu sebelumnya, 1 thun yang lalu kurang lebih. wktu itu sy dan partner kerja saya sempat mewawancarai slh satu petugas lapangan yg masih aktif menggunakan napza demi riset kami. that time, I said to myself, he was something! he was young, he was smart,  plus, he was good looking.  only he used drugs.  hari pertama sampai di sana, mbak2 yang re...

wow, apparently, I am not that diligent as i thought I was. hahha. perhaps, i was a bit too excited a month ago, posting two different posts within a week time. now, with the amount of readings I have to cope, the desire to write a post in this blog seems to disappear. *sigh* yes, tiba2 saya merasa rindu dan kangen *podo wae* bekerja. bekerja dalam artian melakukan sesuatu dan mendapatkan uang. tepatnya lagi, kangen laura. hihi *padahal sebelum kuliah ini, sy baru bekerja full time di sana sejak Mei tahun ini - artinya baru 4 bulan saja sy kerja di sana. sebenernya sih karena akhir2 ini sy susah banget fokus untuk kuliah. bahkan reading week ini yang seharusnya sy gunakan untuk berkonsentrasi mengejar ketertinggalan bacaan, malah sy pake untuk nyelesein kerjaan yg lalu, yakni menulis dg kaitan riset setahun yang lalu (di tropmed). my ex office desk @ laura sebenarnya yang bikin sy rindu karena sy sedang mengaktivasi kemba...

Well, I was in Busan, South Korea last week for a conference. But I had a great days there too. Been a really fun week. I was there with a colleague with whom I’ve been working during the past 2 years in the faculty of medicine for a joint project of social HIV research.
