so, before and between getting too nervous and stressed out due to essays, assignments, and exam, I took the time to visit some historical buildings in England. *sigh - again? first one is Windsor Castle . A medieval building - built some time in 11th century to defend England from Norman attack. It is still used for royal family until today. Even some say, the Queen prefers to stay here, than in Buckingham Palace. It's located in the south east of England, in Berkshire county. We took a train from Paddington Station to Windsor *took about 20 minute or so though the train timetable said an hour (there was a funny story behind this train journey, but I might save some space for more pictures here). the wall of windsor castle. this does look like a cover album of a new band, right? :D [photo: Angga] and this is the castle that's a princess just coming out of the castle.. haha [photo: Angga] in front of the cathedral? being a movie addict,

I have always been a fan of sad-ending stories - both in film and in novels (or songs). when other ppl surrounds me usually expect a beautiful ending (couple who eventually lives a happy life together and ever, for example), I get more excited in picturing a sad ending. those moments when the actors find out the ugly truth; the time when the main protagonist realize her/his dream can not be fulfilled.  perhaps, like 500 days of summer: or blue valentine (you can find my post abt this movie here ) but, mostly, I love it when the film ends in an open kind of way. you, as the audience, gets to decide what happens. in your head, of course. in my opinion, it gives you opportunity to have an end based on how you see the film. and of course, it's like you see your life story, it is still running.  like my all-time favourite films below, I love this movie, not only because it ends in such a way, but also because (other than being a fan of Ethan Hawke) of oth

after six months or so

it's a bit painful for me to post this, but, just for fun I decided to post these three pictures.  early Oct 2011 late Dec 2011 NOW!! can anyone tell the difference? ;p on a side note, actually I could tell that I've began gaining weight during this past few months, especially after my life has been turned *kind of* upside down by the increasing difficulty of sleeping. When I do my activity at night, I still crave for snacks. Hereby, this is the result. I tried to jog, but since it was such a long time I didn't do it, it killed my leg. So, I kinda gave up. But, I think, by looking at this, I should definitely begin to jog again. so, let's live healthy life!  ( self-hypnotising, though I can't really see myself having the normal sleep hour, especially assignment, essay and dissertation are all waiting )

an improved cooking skill?

Image
aha! I just found out - the time I post more blog posts is the time I am supposed to sit quietly in front of my laptop and do some work! but, here I am! typing my blog post! ** feeling guilty already. but, tonite is only about food. I would like to ask myself if my cooking skill has already improved or not during my staying outside home - outside the convenience of my mother's cooking. well, to be honest, I do cook when I am at home. but I am never the main cook. so I just help here and there. when I do the main cook role, usually it's only me who finish eating (or sometimes my mom - but I suspect it's because she also finds it convenient to eat what is available, or she feels a pity XD ). just want to post some shots of my 'masterpieces'. honestly, I only cook whatever cross to mind - no basic recipe. Just do: chop this and that, stir fry most of the time. and when my landlord or flatmate ask what the hell I am cooking, just simply respond with " ngaw

spring has come? really?

Image
some clothing brands have already started to display their spring collections - since two weeks ago. however, London hadn't become warmer since then as it suddenly got colder again these past two weeks - just after (almost) everyone I know said spring had knocked our door. but today, I went out to a flower market in Columbia Road - near Shoreditch Town Hall (20 minutes from where I live - by bus) , and voila ! the sun shines so brightly and it's only 15degree Celsius.  I love today's weather!  I've already started to feel hot with my current coat. Yea! ah well, whether it's spring already or not, I don't mind. as long as my assignments get done before due date. :) so, here's some of the picture's of today's walk in a nice weather. my favourite corner near Columbia road (brick wall not like other side of the road), filled with nice little cafe offering breakfast menu and there were two street musicians performing came home with a s
